You may have imagined yourself wearing a sleek and sexy mermaid style dress, or maybe you grew up seeing yourself in a fairy tale Cinderella dress like your favorite Disney character. Either way, is there really anything more exciting about wedding planning then picking the dress of your dreams? Years ago when I got married, it was easy for me to say that wedding dresses all looked very similar. But thanks to this blog (and my large obsession with Vera Wang) I can’t say that anymore. Wedding dress styles have come so far and in 2014, your traditional white gown isn’t the only thing we are seeing brides walk down the aisle in. With all the different trends popping up, it’s hard to pick a favorite…but here are 5 that stand out to me.
Pretty in PINK
One of my favorite 2014 wedding dress trends, is the pink wedding dress. Whether you like a light nude pink or a bright magenta, pink wedding dresses make quite the statement! These gems are all over the wedding runway, and they look amazing on brides with dark skin tones!

RUFFLED tail feathers
Love this trend! It started popping up on the runway last year but it’s everywhere in 2014 and definitely in a standout way! I love this style because it’s so feminine, yet looks amazing on a bride in a rustic cowboy wedding. It is beautiful for most every shape, and really smooths out all areas needed on an hour glass shaped bride. Vera Wang had these all over the runway this year and I cannot wait to see how big brides go with this!

The winner for the most elegant trend in 2014 has to be feathers! While so many brides where hoping to see more feather filled wedding dresses in 2013, 2014 seems to be the year the bird is really flying. If you are wanting to float down the aisle in elegant fashion, this is the style for you!
