When many brides get engaged, they know EXACTLY what wedding traditions to stay away from. They want their wedding to stay away from cliches and be a unique and beautiful representation of their love for their fiance. Because you are planning it, your wedding will be beautiful and special, but here are a few things you can do to give your big day an extra unique touch.
Treat your guests by giving them a preceremony cocktail. I know that sound a little terrifying – giving your guests (possibly a crazy uncle or a group of rowdy friends) alcohol before the very important ceremony is daunting. But giving them something cool, refreshing, and light will be much appreciated, especially if you have an outdoor wedding.
Make your wedding reception casual and luxurious with a relaxed seating option. It is a conflicting combination, but it can be achieved by ditching the tables and chairs for cushioned seating. Add sofas, recliners, lounge chairs, and more to your reception to provide comfortable seating that looks extremely upscale.
To make your wedding even more luxurious and unique, create a personalized champagne bar. Allow guest to choose from different types of champagne and flavor add-ins. Provide dishes of lavendar, fruit, and flavored ice cubes for guest to add into their bubbly cocktail creations. It’s like having an open bar, but with more of a special and classy touch.
This is my favorite unique idea – a DIY flower station. Instead of giving out wedding favors guests will never use or might not take, show them how much you appreciate their attendance by making a flower station. Allow guests to build their own corsages, bouquets, boutonnieres, hair wreaths, and whatever else they want to make. You can buy flowers wholesale to make it affordable.
