Here comes the braid! My latest wedding hairstyle obsession, that is.
I couldn’t help but notice how popular braids have become lately, and I am not only talking about celebrities and models rocking them on the red carpet or the runway. Versatile braids are fit for any type of wedding nowadays and, thank God, they are no longer seen as the exclusive choice of hippy or boho brides.
Braided looks can be worn anywhere from a classic wedding to a garden party or a metropolitan wedding soiree – they always look damn good.
If a tight bridal updo or loose locks seem a bit boring, you can always play with your hair to create some interest in long strands. Certain styles are so easy to achieve that you don’t even have to bother with a hairstylist (and that is great news for brides on a budget!) but still, if you want to go for something more sophisticated like a twisted pretzel updo, or a nape braided bun, you might need a little help to achieve perfection.
Fun, understatedly chic and hugely feminine, braids can be worn alone, with intertwined delicate flowers, or sparkly headpieces. Matching a romantic braid to your wedding dress will give you an elegant touch, and this summer the trend is more popular than ever!
I have created a swoonworthy collection of amazing braided wedding hairstyles to inspire you for your big day. From crown braids to waterfall braided hairstyles, take a look and pick the style you like!
How about being a splendid braid-bride this summer?
