If you love the beauty, brightness and simplicity of wildflowers as much as I do (I normally go for anything sophisticated, but these flowers win me over every time), you can consider them for your wedding bouquet. And, if you want to add an extra personal touch to your bridal bunch, go for a DIY one. Holding it during the ceremony knowing it bears your signature will give you an insane amount of satisfaction and, to be honest, at the end of the day it will save you lots of money, too. Hurrah!

Bohemian wildflowers have taken the stage in the past few years becoming the flowers of choice for many blushing brides. They are a great option for the bold pop of color they add to the bridal ensemble and for the relaxed vibe they exude. This is why, if you are tempted to have a garden or  countryside wedding, a wildflower bouquet will perfectly match the theme.  Some of the most popular (and pretty) wildflowers used in wedding bouquets are sunflowers, poppies, tall bellflowers, forget-me-nots, daisies, Queen Anne’s lace, cornflowers and Baby Blue Eyes, just to give you a hint.

Creating a bouquet on your own is no rocket science, as long as you have the right flowers, filler and floral tape, and know exactly what size, color mix and style you want (from cascade to loose-tied there are a few options).

If you are a bride-to-be with green fingers, you can even grow your own flowers just in time for your big day. On the other hand, if you are hopelessly romantic, you can take the time to pick them from a local field. Maybe together with your fiancé? Tell me this doesn’t sound heartbreakingly romantic!

Now, as I am quite a curious cat, I am dying to know if you would work a shabby chic wildflower wedding bouquet yourself! So, would you?
