Extravagant Wedding Centerpieces for a Lavish Reception Table

When my friend Anna told me she was getting married I knew I was going to step into a fairytale on her big day, as she is a lover of all things opulent and luxurious. I will not insist on the ceremony (even if it was utterly romantic, with lots of emotional moments including the heart-warming vows), the delicious menu (an array of palate pleasing delights), her wedding dress (fit for royalty), or the reception venue (the setting left me speechless for some minutes, which is quite unusual for a chatty girl like me). But I feel like writing an endless ode to her floral centerpieces!

Before seeing Anna’s jaw-dropping flower arrangements I used to consider wedding centerpieces JUST another wedding table accessory. Could I have been more wrong

Extravagant wedding centerpieces add so much charm to a wedding table! I wish you could imagine the tall, silver vase bursting with fuchsia orchids ornate with dangling strands of crystals that stood elegantly on the table in front of me all evening. It was a visual delight demanding the guests’ attention while giving the table a luxurious feel.

After contemplating this floral rhapsody throughout the evening I came to the conclusion that wedding tables without floral centerpieces would look really sad and empty, and now I am stuck on a new obsession: cascading, high centerpieces.

However simple your banquet hall may be, such explosions of color and beauty add the wow factor and fascinate any guest. Tall centerpieces will get all eyes on the tables, so fill them with anything from roses and orchids to peonies and hydrangeas and let them mesmerize!
