You have been working hard to look as beautiful as possible on your wedding day. You found the perfect dress, shoes, jewelry, hairstyle, makeup, veil, flowers, and arm workout to look as amazing as possible. But what about your groom?
As much as we like to think this, the wedding day is NOT all about the bride. They often care more about how the day looks whereas the guy would be happy getting married in Vegas with his best friends and close family there to see it. But the day is still special for the groom and I bet you your marriage he wants to look as amazing as you.
Even though the guy’s outfit seems pretty basic (suit or tux, got it!), there are hundreds of options for what your guy can wear. Not until you walk into the suit shop will you realize that he needs to choose the pant and jacket color, fabric, and cut.
The shirt style, color, and even button detail. Then deciding between vests, cummerbunds, or neither.
Tie versus bow tie, then what style, fabric, and color of each. Or neither for a casual look.
Whether or not to have a pocket handkerchief and then choosing the fabric, color, and fold. Also decide whether or not he will have cufflinks.
Whether or not to feature a belt.
What kind of shoes – ones that go with the outfit or ones that stand out and show off his personality.
The options are endless and it will be easy for both of you to get overwhelmed. That is why it is a good idea to look at photos of models showing off suits and tuxes in wedding magazines (or on this blog!) and choose the pieces that you like best. You can construct a suit that matches the theme and has elements you are both looking for.
Most importantly, you want your groom to look unbelievably handsome and, dare I say, sexy.
