Are you still in love with Ombre? So are we and it seems, so is the rest of the wedding industry! Ombre has evolved and touched every single part of a wedding, from ombre flower arrangements, and ombre invitations and dinner menus, we’ve even seen ombre wedding dresses – how about another focal point of the wedding day? The cake! Ombre wedding cakes are popping up everywhere and boy does it make us want to break out the bubbly.
This ombre wedding cake is the image that spirited today’s post. The color of white to teal to cobalt blue is right up our color wheel for spring. The sugar flowers are gorgeous. We just love the way the cascade creates movement, as if it’s a work of art. Smooth fondant with piped polka dots is a great touch to add just a little bit of texture to a sophisticated yet fun wedding cake.
To talk about texture and leave out this cake would be an abomination. Another one of our absolutely favorite wedding colors for spring is this orangey-coral. Who doesn’t love coral? It’s bright and cherry, and beachy. This cake is just that and….don’t you just want to stick your finger in that frosting like a kid? Keep the kids away from this cake! Delicious cake wrapped up in layer after layer of what we can only hope is butter-cream frosting.
And it wouldn’t be a wedding cake post without a completely romantic and classic wedding cake. The blush pink of this cake is perfectly on trend. The simplicity of this cake is understated and we can only hope that this sat on a gorgeous table full of goodies for the guests.
