The most important tip of all is this: Don’t overdo it! A little goes a long way, so don’t keep heaping it on there. Mascara is the last thing you put on, so you don’t want to ruin your whole look by gooping on tons of it. Two layers, max!

Just put mascara on the top lashes for a more natural look. Putting mascara on your bottom lashes will make them look harsher, and if you’re not careful you’ll end up looking like a clown. Go for a browner mascara on the bottom lashes if your look requires, and don’t ever mascara up the lashes in the inner corners of your eyes.

While these babies might look like some long forgotten torture device, they can really come in handy if your lashes are a bit unruly. Using an eyelash curler will keep your crooked lashes pointing in the proper direction and flip up the ends if your eyelashes grow more straight out than upwards.
Use your curler before you put mascara on, and be sure to clean the pad with soap and water or a cleansing solution. This is especially true if you store your eyelash curler in the same room as the commode. Pink eye is never pretty.
When using your curler start as close to your lid as possible, but be careful not to pinch your skin! Work your way out toward the end of your lashes; clasping maybe two or three times. Don’t yank or pull on your lashes, and don’t clasp them too hard. You aren’t trying to choke them, just to coax them in the right direction. You’ll notice a remarkable difference. Another quick tip is not to use your curlers too often. Eyelashes are delicate, so go easy on them.

If you’re going for a bolder look, fake eyelashes might be right up your alley. Sultry and sexy, falsies make quite the statement. Be sure to get high quality lashes; the look you’ll achieve is worth the extra couple of dollars. You have plenty of options in the fake eyelash department, as well. You can get lashes that you place individually, or just go for the whole shebang. Experiment a little before your big day to see what look works best for you.
Mascara or no mascara, you’re gorgeous just the way you are. Don’t stress too much about your makeup on your wedding day, but if you’re going all out, take some time to make sure it looks great. Today might be just the day to hire a professional to work their magic, but if not, you can handle it. Rock what you’ve got and love every minute of it!
