Choosing the Song:

The most important part of the father daughter dance is finding the perfect song.  There may be a song that sticks out to you immediately, or it may take you a while to choose the right one.  This moment is special, just between you and your dad.  Think back on a moment that the two of you shared, and choose a song to fit the intended mood.

Dancing the Dance:

Sometimes, a simple slow dance to a heartfelt melody is what the occasion calls for.  If it’s your style, a more elaborate, choreographed dance may be in order.  Try not to worry too much, though; just do what feels right!  Be sure to have open, honest communication with your father about the dance.  What is he comfortable doing?  Remember that he’s not as spry as he once was.  Even though this is your special day, you’ll always be daddy’s little girl.

Whatever song and dance you choose for your celebration, this is a wonderful moment that everyone will enjoy.  Precious and heartfelt, the father-daughter dance is sure to bring a smile to your face, and most importantly: Your dad’s.
